ZEDEKIAH. The last king of Judah. In the first year of his reign, Lehi and his family left Jerusalem. Zedekiah's name occurs eight times in the Book of Mormon, five of which are connected with Lehi's departure, the other three relate to the monarch's posterity. The killing of the sons of Zedekiah by the king of Babylon is spoken of in Helaman, 8:21.
