EWART. (Lieutenant, 1841.)

Charles Joseph Frederick Ewart entered the Navy 5 Feb. 1830; passed his examination 22 Dec. 1835; and was promoted while Mate in the Mediterranean of the Monarch 84, Capt. Sam. Chambers, 23 Nov. 1841. He rejoined the latter ship on 30 of the same month, and was appointed – 4 Nov. 1843, 19 July, 1844, and 30 Jan. 1845, to the Camperdown 104, Queen 110, and Trafalgar 120, flag-ships at the Nore of Sir Edw. Brace, Sir John Chambers White, and Sir Edw. Durnford King, in the last-mentioned of which he is now serving as First-Lieutenant.
