LLOYD. (Lieutenant, 1827.)

William Lloyd (b) died 12 July, 1847, at Montreal, of typhus fever, contracted while ministering to the wants of the sick and destitute Irish immigrants.

This officer passed his examination in 1826; and for his conduct as Mate of the Albion 74, Capt. John Acworth Ommanney, at the battle of Navarin, where he was wounded, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant 22 Oct. 1827. He remained thence-forward on half-pay.
