Hart Hall, matric. entry under date 17 Dec., 1576, aged 15, B.A. and M.A. 3 June, 1579; 2nd Earl of Dorset 1608, and chief butler 1608, student of Inner Temple 1580, M.P. Sussex 1585-6, Lewes 1588-9, Sussex 1593, 1597-8, 1601, 1604-8; died 27 Feb., 1608-9; brother of Henry, Thomas, and William, 1582, and father of Edward and Richard 1605.
