Harry James Powell
(1853–1922)
English chemist. In 1875 he joined his father's firm, James Powell & Sons, Whitefriars Glass Works, London. He was a member of the committee of six appointed by Board of Education to prepare the scheme for the rearrangement of the Art Collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
This author wrote articles for the 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica.
