Born at Cottage Hill, Doublin (sic) Twp, Philadelphia Co. the son of Dr.John Gibbon and his wife Alice,nee Lardner. Served in the US Navy. He died at his residence, 8056 Frankford Ave., Holmesburg at the age of 89, a widower at that time. Lardner Gibbon was buried on 13 January 1910.
