The Reverend John Harding Cole's Church and Parish Records of the United Diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross represent a supplementary volume to William Maziere Brady's earlier work, and cover the period 1863 to 1903. J.H. Cole was born in Woodview, Innishannon, Co. Cork in 1830, was educated at Trinity College Dublin and served for three years in the South Cork Infantry. He was ordained a deacon in 1858 and held a number of positions within the diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross. He died at Woodview in 1909 and was buried at Innishannon Graveyard.
