MYLES (Μύλης), a son of Lelex, brother Polycaon, father of Eurotas, and king of Lacedaemon, was regarded as the inventor of mills. (Paus. iii. 1. § 1, 20. § 2, iv. 1. § 2.) Stephanus Byzantius mentions Μυλάντιοι θεοὶ as the protectors of mills. [L. S.]
