IMPEY, EUGENE CLUTTERBUCK (1830–1904)
Colonel : born 1830 : son of Edward Impey, B.C.S., and grandson of Sir Elijah Impey : educated privately and at Wadham College, Oxford : joined the 5th Bengal N.I., 1851 : A.A.G.G. Rajputana, 1856 : served through the mutiny : at the siege of Kotah, 1858 : PoHtical Agent at Ulwar, 1858 : Military Secretary to the Viceroy, Lord Lawrence, 1863–4 : Political Agent, Jodhpur, Oodeypur, and Gwalior : Resident in Nipal : retired, 1878 : C.I.E., 1879 : died Nov. 1904.
