Schedule A, of classified positions excepted from examination under Rule II, section 3, is hereby amended by the addition to Subdivision V, relating to the Post-Office Department, the following paragraphs:
- Clerks in charge of contract stations, appropriated for as such and so reported.
- Clerks in charge of stations, whose compensation does not exceed $500 per annum. Persons now employed or hereafter appointed within the limits of this exception may be promoted but may not be transferred or assigned to any other position which is competitive.
