Upon inquiry, no renewal records have been found through the Pennsylvania copyright records scans or subsequent links. At that time it needed to be renewed 28 years after publication (ie. 1950 or 1951). This could be done as either a renewal of The American Journal of Sociology or a direct renewal by Robert E. Park (or his estate in this case, as he was dead by then). Neither have been found.
