Long s, ʃ should be transcribed faithfully with {{ss|2}}. An annotated copy of the book can be made without long s's. Zoeannl (talk) 06:48, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

There are a few articles in this that I am interested in transcribing. Given that the OCR state now is no better than 7 years ago, I will be typing the text from scratch, and will not be using the long s in my transcription. People are welcome to edit the text to add the long s as part of verifying the text if they wish, but I personally think it's purely typographical and serves no semantic purpose.
