May-Flower
by Emily Dickinson

Pink, small, and punctual,
Aromatic, low,Covert in April,
Candid in May,

Dear to the moss,
Known by the knoll,
Next to the robin
In every human soul.

Bold little beauty,
Bedecked with thee,
Nature forswears
Antiquity.
