Cambridgeshire since 1881, Ipswich 1874-80, junior chairman of East Norfolk quarter sessions, It.-col. 2nd volunteer battalion rifle brigade since 1865, editor of Law Reports (Common Law Series), a member of the South-eastern circuit, chairman of Board of Directors English and Scottish Loan Life Assurance Association, a student of the Inner Temple 17 Nov., 1842 (then aged 22), called to the bar 29 Jan., 1847, Q.C. 16 Feb., 1865, bencher 5 May, 1865 (eldest son of Rev. James Bulwer, M.A., late rector of Hunworth-cum-Stody, Norfolk); born 22 May, 1820.
