Coll., Camb., 1861, puisne judge of Ceylon since 1876, deputy Queen's advocate there 1873–6, a student of the Inner Temple 20 Jan., 1862 (then aged 23), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1864 (only son of George O. Clarence, Esq., of Charmouth, Devon); born , 1839; married 29 Aug., 1867, Blanche, dau. of late John Gunter, of Fulham, Middlesex.
