Gloucester and Kent, a member of the Oxford circuit, a student of the Middle Temple 25 Feb., 1863, called to the bar 1 May, 1865 (eldest son of late William Cripps, of Cirencester, M.P., and of the Inner Temple, bar.-at-law); born 8 June, 1841; married 1st, 31 May, 1870, Maria Harriet Arabella, dau. of John Robert Daniel Tyssen, Esq., of Hackney, Middlesex; she died 5 Sept., 1881; he married 2ndly, 2 Dec., 1884, Countess Helen Augusta Wilhelmine, youngest dau. of Count Frederick Bismarck, of Schierstein, Prussia. :Cirencester; Farleigh House, Sandgate, Kent; Carlton Club.
