Davenport, John Davies, M.A., Balliol Coll., Oxon, 1865, from Rugby, joint editor of Macqueen's Law of Husband and Wife, lord of the manor of Swanland, to which he succeeded by the will of R. Brough- Watson, Esq., in 1879, a student of Lincoln's Inn 4 May, 1863 (then aged 22), called to the bar 30 April, 1866 (eldest son of John Marriott Davenport, of Oxford, solicitor); born , 1841; married 23 Dec., 1875, Flora Elizabeth, eldest dau. of Donald Macleod, Esq., of London.
