Deane, Ralph Hawtrey, B.A., Trin. Coll., Oxon, 1873, joint author of Underhill's Settled Land Act 1872, a student of Lincoln's Inn 23 Jan., 1873 (then aged 24), called to the bar 21 April, 1880 (eldest son of Francis Henry Deane, Esq., of Eastcote, Middlesex, and of Lincoln's Inn, bar.-at-law); born 8 Dec., 1848; married 30 Aug.. 1881, Annie Cordelia, eldest dau. of late John Ellis, Esq., of Chudleigh, Devon, and has issue.
