Dicken, Charles Shortt, secretary to agent-general for Queensland since 1883, police magistrate there 1872-80, sometime lieut. 87th royal Irish fusiliers, a student of the Middle Temple 20 Nov., 1880, called to the bar 6 June, 1883 (2nd surviving son of William Stephens Dicken, M.D., E.I.C.S., dec.); born 18 Sept., 1841; married 25 Aug., 1875, Emily Augusta, eldest dau. of late Charles William Sheridan, Esq., of Beeauba, New South Wales.
