Dwyer, (Hon.) Edward, LL.D., B.A., Trin. Coll., Dublin, 1845, puisne judge Cape of Good Hope since 1868, went the Northern circuit, sometime capt. 5th royal Lancashire militia, educated at Oscott, called to the bar at King's Inns, Dublin, 1845, author of Compendium of the Militia Laws, a student of Lincoln's Inn 20 Nov., 1843 (then aged 22), where he was also called to the bar 26 Jan., 1857 (eldest son of Thomas Dwyer, Esq., of Dublin); born Feb., 1821; married 1st, , , Mary, dau. of late S. Veever, Esq., of Coulclough, Lancashire; she died , ; he married 2ndly, 6 Sept., 1864, Adelaide, 2nd dau. of Henry Brewster Darley, Esq., of Aldby Park, Yorkshire.
