Ferguson, Richard Saul, M.A., L.L.M., St. John's Coll., Camb., 1863, F.S.A., examiner in civil law Camb. Univ. 1868-9, author of Cumberland and Westmorland M.P's from the Revolution to the Reform Bill, J.P. Cumberland, a student of Lincoln's Inn 13 Oct., 1858 (then aged 21), called to the bar 11 June, 1862 (eldest son of Joseph Ferguson, Esq., of Carlisle); born 28 July, 1837; married 9 Aug., 1867, Georgiana Fanny, eldest dau. of Spencer Shelley, Esq. (she was divorced 1877), and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage, Shelley).
