Field, Sir William Ventris, a justice of the High Court of Justice (Queen's Bench Division) since Nov., 1875, a judge of Court of Queen's Bench Feb. to Nov., 1875, went the Midland circuit, a student of the Middle Temple 15 Nov., 1843, went to the Inner Temple 17 Jan., 1846, where he was called to the bar 3 May, 1850, O.C. 13 Feb., 1864, bencher 30 April, 1864 (2nd son of Thomas Flint Field, Esq., of Fielden, Beds); born 21 Aug., 1813; married , 1864, Louisa, dau. of John Smith, Esq.; she died 24 May, 1880.
