Kay, (Hon.) Sir Edward Ebenezer, a justice of the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division, since March, 1881, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1847, J.P. Norfolk, late chairman Norfolk quarter sessions, author of Reports of Cases Heard and Determined by Vice-Chancellor Wood, a student of Lincoln's Inn 22 April, 1844 (then aged 21), called to the bar 8 June, 1847, Q.C. , 1866, bencher 11 Jan., 1867 (4th son of late Robert Kay, Esq., of Bury, co. Lanc.); born 2 July, 1822; married 2 April, 1850, Mary Valence, dau. of late Rev. W. French, D.D., master of Jesus Coll., Camb., and canon of Ely, and has 2 daus. (see Foster's Baronetage).
