Platt, Thomas, educated at St. Paul's School, author of The Law of Covenants, The Law of Leases, etc., a student of Lincoln's Inn 30 Oct., 1818 (then aged 18), called to the bar 9 June, 1826 (4th son of Samuel Platt, Esq., late clerk of the papers of the Court of Queen's Bench); born 14 Sept, 1800; married 2 May, 1839, Anna, eldest dau. of John Hugh Smyth-Pigott, Esq., of Brockley Hall, Somerset; she died 2 Sept., 1853; he married 2ndly, 10 Dec., 1859, Emily Ann, eldest dau. of late Charles Phillips, Esq., a commissioner for relief of insolvent debtors.
