Yorkshire West Riding, a student of the Inner Temple 20 April, 1850 (then aged 22), called to the bar 30 April, 1853 (eldest son of Rev. Benjamin Powell, of Wigan, co. Lanc.); born 29 June, 1827; married , 1858, Annie, 2nd dau. of Matthew Gregson, Esq., of Toxteth Park, co. Lanc.
