Corpus Christi Coll., Oxon, 1841, chancellor of the diocese of Bath and Wells since 1884, recorder of Wells since 1872, chairman second court Somerset quarter sessions since 1870, J.P. 1861, a student of Lincoln's Inn 2 Nov., 1843 (then aged 26), called to the bar 24 Nov., 1846 (eldest son of Francis Rogers, Esq., of Yarlington, Somerset); born 24 May, 1817; married 6 Aug., 1853, Elizabeth Hannah, dau. of John Stanger, Esq., of Tydd St. Mary, co. Linc., and has issue.
