Royle, Charles, counsel at Alexandria, a member of British auxiliary commission for Egyptian judicial reforms 1881, paymaster royal navy 1862–3, entered service 1854, a student of Lincoln's Inn 27 April, 1863 (then aged 24), exhibitions July, 1864, and Mich., 1865, called to the bar 17 Nov., 1865 (4th son of William Royle, Esq., of Lymington, Hants); born 24 Dec., 1838.
