Scotland, Sir Colley Harman, chief justice Madras 1861-72, vice-chancellor Madras Univ. 1861-72, knighted 13 March, 1861, a student of the Middle Temple 3 Nov., 1840, called to the bar 9 June, 1843 (eldest son of Thomas Scotland, Esq., of Antigua, West Indies, dec.); born 16 June, 1819; married 21 Dec., 1853, Sarah Anne, only surviving dau. of late John Joseph Bygrave, Esq., dec.; she died 1859, leaving an only dau. (see Foster's Baronetage).
