Somers, Benjamin Edward, M.A. Merton Coll., Oxon, B.A. 1880, J.P. Somerset, went the Western circuit, a student of Lincoln's Inn 30 May, 1871 (then aged 19), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1877 (only son of Thomas Somers, Esq., late of Mendip Lodge, Somerset, and of Lincoln's Inn, bar.-at-law, dec.); born 20 Nov., 1851; married 1st, 5 Jan., 1875, Julia Blanche, 2nd dau. of Col. Archibald Impey-Lovibond, of Hatfield Peverel, Essex; he divorced her, and married 2ndly, 23 Jan., 1879, Agnes Elizabeth, youngest dau. of Rev. John Breeks Atkinson, rector of Kingston, Isle of Wight (see Foster's Baronetage Williams).
