Sturgeon, Charles Wentworth Dillon, F.R.G.S., educated at Charterhouse and Westminster Schools, a student of the Inner Temple 12 April, 1860 (then aged 17), called to the bar 6 June, 1864 (only surviving son of the late Charles Sturgeon, Esq., of the Inner Temple, bar.-at-law, by Sydney Jane Louisa, dau. and heiress of the late Lieut.-Col. George Pinckney, H.M.'s 11th regt.); born 25 March, 1843; married 1st, 26 March, 1864, Caroline Seymour, widow of Stackhouse Burton, Esq., dau. of Jonathan Sadler, Esq., of Tipperary; he married 2ndly, , , Lucy May, eldest dau. of Joseph Lillie, Esq., of Derby House, Ardwick, near Manchester, by Lucy, youngest dau. of Charles Butterworth, Esq., of Town Meadows, near Rochdale. Mr. Sturgeon is co-representative (with Lady Mary Selina Charlotte Portman and Archibald Gage) of Charles Watson-Wentworth, 2nd marquis of Rockingham, K.G., twice prime minister of England, temp. George III.
