Trelawny, Sir John Salusbury, Bart., M.P. Tavistock 1843-52, 1857-65, East Cornwall 1868-74, vice-warden of the stannaries, B.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1839, from Westminster School, capt.-commandant Cornwall rifles militia, J.P., D.L. Cornwall 1853-62, a student of Lincoln's Inn 20 Nov., 1837 (then aged 21), went to the Middle Temple 1 May, 1841, where he was called to the bar 5 Nov., 1841 (eldest son of Sir William Salusbury Trelawny, of Hinewood, Cornwall, Bart.); born 2 June, 1816; married 1st, 25 Jan., 1842, Harriet Jane, eldest dau. of John Hearle Tremayne, Esq., of Heligan, Cornwall, M.P.; she died 5 Nov., 1879; he married 2ndly, 19 May, 1881, Harriet Jacqueline, widow of Col. Keppel, of Lexham Hall, Norfolk, youngest dau. of late Sir Anthony Butler, of Pound, Devon, and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage).
