Trendell, Arthur James Richens, senior clerk science and art department South Kensington since 1865, in council office 1855-65, assistant secretary for Great Britain to the International Exhibitions at Paris (1867) and Vienna (1873), secretary Philadelphia Exhibition (1876), literary superintendent Fisheries Exhibition (1883), Health Exhibition (1884), Inventions Exhibition (1885), a student of the Inner Temple 21 Nov., 1868 (then aged 33), called to the bar 30 April, 1874 (eldest son of George Trendell, Esq., late of Maidenhead, Berks, dec.); born 7 May, 1836; married 10 May, 1862, Charlotte Marion, only dau. of late Joseph Previte, Esq., of Calcutta; she died 22 March, 1883.
