London Univ. 1872, a student of the Inner Temple 2 Nov., 1874 (then aged 22) (first prize [bracketed] common law 1876), called to the bar 13 June, 1877 (eldest son of Rev. John Walton, M.A., of Grahamstown, South Africa; born 4 Aug., 1852; married 21 Aug., 1882, Joanna M'Neilage, only dau. of Robert Hedderwick, of Glasgow.
