White, Frederick Meadows, Q.C., recorder of Canterbury since Aug., 1883, a member of the South-eastern circuit, M.A. (late fellow) Magdalen Coll., Oxon, from Balliol Coll., Oxon, a student of the Inner Temple 12 April, 1850 (then aged 20), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1853, Q.C. 13 Feb., 1877, bencher 5 July, 1878 (2nd son of John Meadows White, Esq., of Lee Park, Kent); born 21 Dec., 1829; married 2 Jan., 1867, Alice Mary, elder dau. of late Richard Smith, Esq., of London and Littlehampton; she died 4 Dec, 1884.
