Whiteley, George Crispe, M.A., St. John's Coll., Camb., 1872, a member of the South-eastern circuit, a member of London School Board (Lambeth) since 1882, assistant clerk of the peace Surrey sessions (second court) since 1872, clerk to the justices of the Newington division since 1872, joint author of Mozley and Whiteley's Concise Law Dictionary, author of Law relating to Weights and Measures and Licensing Acts 1872-4, a student of the Middle Temple 7 May, 1866, called to the bar 30 April, 1870 (only son of George Friend Whiteley, of Richmond, Surrey, J.P.); born 6 Sept., 1845; married 10 Aug., 1870, Adele Emilie, youngest dau. of late J. C. Tarver, Esq., of Eton Coll.
