Whittle, James Lowry, M.A. Trin. Coll., Dublin, assistant clerk great seal patent office 1883, registrar in lunacy since April, 1880, assistant registrar of trademarks and designs patent office 1876-80, a student of Gray's Inn 11 Jan., 1859, went to the Inner Temple 5 Nov., 1873 (then aged 33), where he was called to the bar 26 Jan., 1878 (only son of late James Whittle, Esq., of Monaville, Douglas, Isle of Man); born , 1840; married 30 Dec., 1879, Eliza Charlotte, widow of Professor Cairns, of London Univ., dau. of late G. H. M. Alexander, E.I.C.S.
