Wilson, Sir Roland Knyvet, Bart., LL.M., Queen's Coll., Camb., 1875, M.A 1866, from Eton, joint editor of Bar Examination Journal, reader in Indian law at Camb. since 1879, examiner in historical tripos Camb. 1880–2, examiner in jurisprudence, Roman law, and international and constitutional law and history to Inns of Court since 1881, joint examiner in 1884, author of History of Modern English Law, a student of Lincoln's Inn 27 Jan., 1864 (then aged 23), called to the bar 11 June, 1867 (2nd son of George Knyvet Wilson, capt. R.N.); born 27 Aug., 1840; married 27 Dec., 1873, Christiana Whiting, youngest dau. of late Richard Phillips, Esq., F.R.S. (see Foster's Baronetage).
