Wingfield, Edward, M.A., B.C.L. New Coll., Oxon, B.A. 1857, from Winchester Coll., assistant under-secretary of state for the colonies since 1878, went the Home circuit, law reporter for Incorporated Council 1865–78, a student of Lincoln's Inn 29 May, 1856 (then aged 22), called to the bar 10 June, 1859 (4th son of John Muxloe Wingfield, Esq., of Tickencote, Rutland); born 6 March, 1834; married 2 April, 1872, Mary Georgina, eldest dau. of Rev. J. W. Sheringham, M.A., vicar of Standish-cum-Hardwick and hon. canon of Gloucester.
