Wood, (Hon.) Thomas Lett, puisne judge Straits Settlements since 1877, attorney-general Vancouver Island 1864-6, solicitor-general British Columbia 1866-7 and member of Legislative Council 1866-70, chief justice of Bermuda 1872-7, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1864, from Westminster School, a student of the Inner Temple 14 May, 1841 (then aged 20), special pleader 1846-51, called to the bar 13 June, 1851 (youngest son of William E. Wood, of Lambeth, Surrey, gent.); born , 1821; married 10 Oct., 1859, Mrs. George Leggatt, of Guildford, eldest dau. of James Lawrence, of Earnley, Sussex.
