Wood, Charles, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1854, resident legal assistant land commissioner since 1878, assistant tithe and inclosure commissioner 1864, assistant copyhold commissioner 1870, chairman of the Epping Forest Commission 1871-8, a student of the lnner Temple 28 Feb., 1850 (then aged 21), called to the bar 30 April, 1853, admitted a barrister of Lincoln's Inn ad eundem 21 Jan., 1860 (3rd son of John G. Wood, of York, attorney-at-law, coroner for York and the county); born 4 Aug., 1828; married 7 Aug., 1862, Sarah Sophia, 3rd dau. of late Benjamin Hooke, Esq., of Norton Hall, co. Worc., and has issue.
