Pecan Quick Breads


1% C. sugar 2t. baking powder Bran

% ege 1% C. bran Flealth Bread % C, milk % t. salt

1 C. flour 1% C. grated pecans

Beat egg and sugar together. Mix and sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add bran and combine alternately with the milk to the first mix- ture. Add pecans and bake.

% C. white flour % t. soda Bran Molasses

1 t. baking powder 4% T. molasses Bread

4% t. salt 5% C. sour milk 1% C. bran 1% C. finely chopped pecans

Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add bran. Dissolve soda in molasses and sour milk and add to dry ingredients. Add chopped or grated pecans and bake.

2 +t. baking powder 1 ege Orange Bread Wy t. salt % T, melted butter

% ©. sugar % t. orange extract

1 ©. graham flour 44 ©. chopped pecans

Mix and sift the first four ingredients. Add graham flour, milk, well beaten egg, melted butter, orange extract and pecans. Bake.

3% C. white flour 36 ©. molasses Cornmeal % t. salt 1% C. buttermilk Bread

1 ©. cornmeal 1 TF. Criseo .

1% t. soda 14 C. chopped pecans

Mix and sift flour and salt, and add cornmeal. Dissolve soda in molasses and buttermilk and add to dry ingredients. Add melted Crisco, and chopped or grated pecans, and bake.
