He represented the Hokitika district in the Legislative Assembly for several years, and was appointed by the New Zealand Government one of the commissioners for the Colonial Exhibition held in London, 1886. When there he published a book on the West Coast gold-fields, entitled Bambles on the Golden Coast, which contained a number of views of the most beautiful scenery of New Zealand. HtnEagc.
