THE GOLDEN EAGLE.

(Falco Chrysætos, Linnæus.—Le grand Algle, Buffon.)

This is the largest of the genus; it measures, from the point of the bill to the extremity of the toes, upwards of three feet; and in breadth, from wing to wing, above eight; and weighs from sixteen to eighteen pounds.
