once for all, that the whole line of coast laid down as our discovery, was really and truly seen, and its continuity determined in such a manner as to leave not the smallest doubt on the mind of any officer or man of either of the ships, and that no part has been laid down upon mere appearances or denotations except in those places where it is distinctly marked "appearance of land."
