Balliol Coll., matric. 4 June, 1857, aged 18; B.A. & M.A. 1865, of Darrington, Yorks, J.P., M.P. North Wilts 1874-85, a student of Lincoln's Inn 1862, assumed the name of Sotheron in lieu of Bucknall in 1876.

Marlborough (March) 1829-33, Devizes Nov., 1835, to Feb., 1844, North Wiltshire Feb., 1844, to March, 1865, assumed the surname and arms of Sotheron only in 1839, but resumed his patronymic Estcourt in 1863, P.C. 1858, and president Poor Law Board, secretary of state for Home Department 1859, died 6 Jan., 1876.
