ARRIANS'S PERIPLUS, &c.

Jaſon to Colchis, paſſed. From the Cyanean iſlands to the temple of Jupiter Urius, which ſtands at the mouth of the Euxine ſea, is forty ſtadia. Thence to the port of Daphne, which is denominated the Inſane, forty ſtadia. From Daphne to Byzantium eighty ſtadia.

Such are the obſervations which have occurred in the paſſage from the Cimmerian to the Thracian Boſporus, and to the city of Byzantium.
