STORAGE AND SUPPLY (Cont'd)

Length of Wharf and Depth of Water: Victoria Quay, to which pipe lines are connected, is 5,249 foot long with 36 foot depth alongside at M.L.W.M. The pipe lines are laid the whole length of the quay, with 2 feed points at each of the 8 cargo sheds. Solar diesel oil can only be delivered at the following points: D Shed, E Shed, E and F Shed Ramp and F Shed.

General: Shell Company and Anglo Iranian Company each own approximately half the furnace and diesel oil. Normally, 600 tons of furnace oil would be available for bunkering but in an emergency this could be drawn off by the sludge line.

3. FREMANTLE - COMMERCIAL INSTALLATIONS

Vacuum Oil Company (North Side).

Storage Capacity: 1904 tons commercial diesel, 924 tons solar diesel oil.

Method of Fueling: Alongside. One pipe line to North Wharf. Commercial diesel can be pumped back to wharf; solar diesel returns by gravitation only.

Rate of Fueling: Commercial diesel oil, 50 tons per hour, berth 1 only; pump can be arranged for at other berths. Solar diesel not known but very slow.

Shell Oil Company (North Side)

Storage Capacity: 3 - Solar diesel tanks with capacities of 4088, 5529 and 3993.

Method of Fueling: Alongside. One pipe line to North Wharf.

Rate of Fueling: 50 tons per hour.
