Useful articles. No copyright can subsist in a "useful article as defined by the copyright law. However, elements incorporated or embodied in a useful article that can be identified separately from, and are capable of existing independently of, the useful article may be copyrightable. Blank forms. Blank forms, such as time cards, graph paper, account books, bank checks, scorecards, address books, report forms, order forms, and the like, which are designed for recording information and do not in themselves convey information or contain other copyrightable matter are not copyrightable.
