Constitution Amendment Act, 1988
Act No. 50, 1988.

Amendment of section 67 of Act 119 of 1983, as amended by section 10 of Act 105 of 1984

3. Section 67 of the principal Act is hereby amended―

(a) by the substitution for subsection (1) of the following subsection:

(1) This section applies to joint sittings called thereunder, but does not otherwise derogate from the power of Parliament to regulate its business and proceedings.”; and

(b) by the substitution for subsection (2) of the following subsection:

“(2) The State President may call [such] a joint sitting of the Houses by message to them whenever he deems it desirable, and shall call such a joint sitting if requested to do so by all three Houses.”.


Short title

4. This Act shall be called the Constitution Amendment Act, 1988.
