Portrait painter, pupil of his uncle Louis, cousin of Henri, whose associate lie was until the latter's death. He became member of the Acad- emy in 1651. Blnuc, Ecole fran- yaise. BEAUBRUN, HENRI, born at Amboise, Feb., 1003, died in Paris, May 17, 1677. Por- trait painter; he entered the service of Louis XIII, who took an interest in his education, caused him to study architecture and per- spective, and ultimately became his pupil. He accom- panied the army on several campaigns, and so painted correctly, but with little imagina- tion or life. Medal : 3d class, 1861 ; L. of Honour, 1864.
